Flexibility, pole work exercises for fitness

Trainer: Ann Harmes
Duration: 6 weeks between 01-01-2022 and 12-02-2022
Launch: Course starts in 29 day(s), 2 hour(s) and 32 minutes

Course Details

Our Canine Athletes are now expected to be more and more flexible around the course these days, indeed it is fair to say that a strong, powerful dog without the key flexibility through its pelvis and lumbar spine- without the abduction skills to support sholder stability and neck flexion to assist with turns, the dog may struggle to achieve its full potential and may risk injury too.

Flexibility is a KEY component in dog spots fitness and in this course, we will aim to work on flexibility in the whole body over an 8 week course of key skills and exercises.

Your dog will need to be at least 12 months of age to participate

You will need a set of at least 8 cavaletti cones and poles (you can use jump poles and cans if you prefer to improvise) plus  access to a couple of low height jumps with poles.

You will need to practice the key exercises and skills at least 2 / 3 sessions per week but some of it can be incorporated into warm up exercises.]
