CSJ User Profile - JO RHODES with the ' Moravia ' agility dogs
| |
|
Jo currently owns 3 dogs -
- Moravia Red October – Kelbie (BC)
- Moravias The Ci – Ci (WSD)
- Llangwm Moravia Kaesie – Kaesie (ISDS BC)
She contacted a local trainer via her obedience club and started training in 1990 with the family pet – Thorne, a Flat Coated Retriever, who went right through from Starters to Senior. |
Jo says that being lucky enough to have achieved a lot has given her many good memories such as winning out of starters, Kelbie’s first ever competition run and qualifying for a final, but her three proudest memories are:
"In 2001, over two days of finals, I managed to win all three finals on offer! On the Saturday evening Kelbie won the Gamblers and Ci won the Advanced Power and Speed. Then on the Sunday Kelbie won the Knockout Pairs final with Nic Garrett and Spec – I don’t think that has ever happened before or since."
"In 2002 I won both the CC, with Kelbie, and the RCC, with Ci, at Rugby’s Championship Show."
"In 2003 myself and Kelbie were part of the winning team at the World Championships in France. Kelbie then retired in 2004 – it’s nice to know she retired a World Champion!"
Great teamwork with her dogs have led to a huge catalogue of achievements including:
